You know you need Epos, but don't know where to start?...

We've all been in the position where we know what has to be done to improve our business, but just don't know how to go about it. Over the last 25 years, we in JustScan have worked with hundreds of retailers implementing Epos solutions. Some people have an idea of what is involved and some don't. The fear of the unknown can often be a deterrent to actually doing something. We're not going to tell you there is absolutely no work involved, there is! But there always is and anything worth doing is worth doing right!

Complete the paperwork

There is a checklist of information about your business to be completed. This includes the basics like shop contact information, staff details and department structure. We have an easy template document that you can change to suit your needs. We will help you complete this document, as it will be the basis for all your reporting.

Schedule Installation Dates & Discuss any other requirements

We will discuss installation dates that best suit your business. This ensures that key staff are available for the training and to familiarise themselves with the new system. If you have never had an Epos system before, or have more than one till point, you will need an electrician to install some networking cables to enable the computers to talk to one another. If you ask your electrician to contact us, we will be more than happy to explain what is needed. If you have not got broadband, now is the time to order it. Broadband enables us to support you better and allows you extra functionality such as text message marketing, credit card integration and online dashboard access.

Shop Setup

This is an area that some people find off-putting. Every front of shop item must be scanned and the price entered. There is a bit of work involved, but we promise you - it is NOT as bad as you think! We have a master product file with product descriptions and the most recent price file loaded onto handheld computers. We will send these out to you for 2-3 days depending on the size of your business. Most businesses have their own staff undertake the shop scan to cut down on costs, while others draft in family members/friends to help them out. When we receive the handhelds back to the office, we enter this information onto system, test it and then it's ready to go! Our master file contains all products. If you have product files from suppliers in spreadsheet format, these can be imported once they are in the correct format.

Installation & Training

On the day of installation, a member of the JustScan implementations team will install your solution and provide initial operational training to your two key staff members. In our experience, the human mind can only take in so much to begin with, for this reason we stagger the training. Initially the staff are trained on the basics and once they have had time to familiarise themselves with the JustScan solution, we come back after a few weeks to go through more advanced functions and reporting.
